This is the last full day of the rally, and some people have already left, while most of the rest will head out tomorrow. That latter group includes us. Mom has a 9:45am hair salon appointment, then we head west to Elkhart, IN with a short visit to Lima, OH to visit Barb and Steve Quade, friends and ex-neighbors in Victoria.
This morning, we made our final trip through the Amish country. We had to pick up the custom baskets that we had made during the week for the Bus. One goes a small area next to the stair well, and the other goes under the china cabinet (pantry in our case). Here are some pictures……….

As we drove around, we got a few more Amish pictures……..
Back at the campground, we had some tickets for free Amish buggy rides, but it was raining. When we returned from our travels, the rain had stopped, and the buggy was running, so we took our rides. We were even picked up at the Bus………
The view from the driver’s seat….
A “rear view mirror” look………
Mom exiting the buggy……
When I told Mom that we were going to ride in one of the buggies like we had been seeing on the road, her response was …….”I ain’t riding in one of those damn things”! However, I did not give her a choice, and she actually enjoyed it!! She also got in and out a lot easier than most of the people here that were 30 years younger (in their 60’s).
We ended the night with a live ‘southern grass’ band. They were enjoyable.
In the above picture, Mom and Patsy are listening to the band.
Tomorrow we hit the road…… we’ve been sitting still too long for me!!!!
