Quartzsite -- Saturday & Sunday

The big tent opened at 9:00am on Saturday, and we were there by 9:15am. Patsy and I really did not find anything that we needed for the Bus, but Mark and Sue did manage to purchase their WAVE 8 heater. In the afternoon, Mark and I went to the "RV Pit Stop" to get a hose made up for it. We got it back to their trailer, and with all of out prework, put it right to work. As seems to be the pattern on this trip, Mark ran out of gas for the generator that he is using for his trailer, so we stopped for some on the way back:
As we walked around, we found a mascot for a restaurant called "The Desert Rat". Here's a picture of it with Mark......... Mark is the one in the blue and white cap":

We didn't eat lunch there, but we did further down the road, at the "Bad Boy's Restaurant". Here are Patsy, Sue and Mark waiting for our 'gourmet' burgers:

On Sunday morning, we went back to the tent area and walked around the shops that surround the tent. In the middle, we spotted this cactus. After we took the following picture, someone pointed out that a dove had built and was sitting on a nest in the hole above our heads:

As we walked back to the camping area, we spotted the local police in their dune buggy, and then they spotted Mark, and stopped him for 'looking' suspicious!

The remainder of Sunday was spent around the campsite. Here is Sue riding her bike around the 'circled' campers, and most of the guys watched the Chargers and Patriots game in the sun on Chuck and Lori's outside TV in their Allegro Bus:

On Sunday night, we had our first "5 o'clock brunch", and we built a couple of campfires. The pit in the foreground is the one that Mark and I built at my house before we headed out on this trip.
Some of the folks even roasted marshmellows, and made S'mores. Later, most people gathered in different RV's to either play games or watch the Packers play poorly and lose their playoff game to the Giants.
