Naples, Florida

We left the KOA at Ft Myers this morning to end up at the KOA in Naples. At the Tampa RV show, we each got a coupon to pay for one night and get the second free. It’s a great deal, since the one night with tax for both costs us over $90!! On the way off of Pine Island, Patsy got a picture of Mark’s Phaeton driving through Matlacha…..

After we got set up, we went for a drive to the Naples ‘Olde Seaport’ area and the beach to see the sunset. While driving around the south side of Naples, we saw many really beautiful “multi-million dollar” homes. They were so big, it was hard to take them from the street. Most had water canal access. Here are a couple. The first photo is a condo coming into town……..

After driving through the ‘rich’ neighborhoods, we went for a quick walk-around at the Olde Seaport area and then to the beach to walk along it and watch the sunset. The beach was a really bright white ‘clean’ sand with a splattering of small shells. Here are some photos……..

This bird wanted this fish so bad that we walked right up to get the picture and it did not move…….

As we walked the beach waiting for the sun to set, we met this couple who were having some wine and eating boiled shrimp. The were saluting all who walked by…..

They were from New Jersey, and had a place just up the street. They did say that they were several million dollars away from the “big” homes!! If they happen to read this, I hope they will leave a comment so that I know that they were sober enough to remember my blog address!!!
