Thursday – MH Dealers and Blue Ridge Parkway

We spent the morning calling and dealing with RV Dealers and Salespeople. We had to send some papers overnight, and had to drive 30 miles round trip to find a FedEx office. It was noon by the time we got back to the mororhome and were ready to head back to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We moved the motorhome to a Walmart north on I-77 at Elkin, NC, and took the car to the BRP.

We only spent about 3 hours on it today because Patsy had to find a Weight Watchers meeting and get a weekly weigh-in. She lost 2 lbs this week........... while traveling!!! She is really doing good.

We saw a park area with a campground, store, hotel, and restaurant………. But nothing was picture worthy. We also visited a homestead that is on the parkway. Here are a few pictures from today:

This picture is a view of some of the "Christmas Tree" farms from the BRP. They are pretty far away and a little hard to make out!
.... and here is a little fall color. It is beginning to develop.
We are back at the Elkin Walmart for the night , and guess what............ We have free WIFI again!! First thing in the morning, we are going to go to the Stone Mountain State Park, about 20 miles north of here, to see if we can get a campsite for Friday night. It is right off the BRP.
We plan to finish the North Carolina part of the BRP, and start on the Virginia portion on Saturday.
