Saturday – Patsy’s Birthday and Blue Ridge Parkway

We left the KOA about 10:00am this morning, and drove to Fort Criswell, VA to a Flying “J” truckstop to get gas in the motorhome. It has been $289 /gal in North Carolina, and the Flying “J” had it for $2.55 /gal. We took $155.00 worth, but we had not filled up since Friday of last week in Chattanooga.

It is Patsy’s birthday, so we planned to do a part of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and quit early to eat dinner at an Olive Garden Restaurant in Roanoke, VA. Here’s a picture of Patsy having her birthday dinner……. Lasagna!

Today’s stack of BRP pictures follows. One is a hornet’s nest that we spotted in a tree next to the road. It is the first one I have ever seen in person!!
