Monday -- Heading West to Knoxville

Monday morning started with repair #2 to the motor home. Since the tow cable was broke at the molded plug, and could not be repaired, I decided to buy a new electrical socket for the motor home. While at the Tiffin plant, I got the wiring details and plug type on the new motor homes, so I decided to buy and install that type on this motor home. I was going to have to change the plug on the tow cable anyway to fit the new motor home. So….. with the new parts, I changed the wiring parts from the motor home to the car. All in all, it took us about two hours. Here’s a picture of the new socket on the motor home:

Before we left Roanoke, we went downtown to the Old Market Square. It was a nice walk around town. Here is a picture of the Market Square Center:

After the downtown tour, we headed west toward Knoxville. We stopped and spent then spent the night at a Wal-Mart in Bristol. Bristol is on the border between Virgina and Tennessee. We drove into town but could not get into old town Bristol because a train was blocking the road and we were tired. We did get a couple of pictures…… a large sign going into the city, and an old railroad station that was being rebuilt:

Tomorrow, before we leave Bristol, we plan to drive into town and look it over.
