After the formal ceremony, we had refreshments, and then they took us on a tour of a Globemaster C-17 Cargo Transport aircraft. This was to allow Michael to take a “Final Walk-Off”, similar to the walks off the plane after a mission.
His crew did a great job………. the aircraft was completely opened up, and the air conditioning systems were fully operating. We had total access to the entire aircraft. I had seen movies in which the C-17 was used, but personally seeing the inside of one was a real treat.
