Having seen all we wanted in the Elkhart, IN area, we decided to head to the Spartan Homecoming in Charlotte, MI early……… but by taking a longer route. We looked at the maps and decided to travel the West Coast of Michigan towards Grand Rapids.
Before we left the Amish area, we paid one more visit to our favorite bakery to get a few treats…..
What we found along the coast was beaches and neat little towns. Here are some photographs in groups…

We have been in a lot of towns that have painted statues all around town….. some have horses, fish, whatever, The town of South Haven, MI has dogs!! Here are a few of them…….
Our granddaughter likes purple, so when we found a purple house, we had to take a picture of it for her……
We also drove into Holland, known for its tulips and Dutch themes. We went to the Holland park area, but it was closed. We did get a couple of pictures…….
And lastly, here are some street scenes from the small towns that we drove through………
We spent the night in a Wal-Mart parking lot in South Haven, and planned to drive to Grand Rapids on Saturday.
