We're Home ....... For Now!!

We left Red Bay about noon on Friday, and drove to Baton Rouge where we found a Walmart, and spent the night. It was nice having 7 or 8 clear, color TV channels to watch. On Saturday, we started out about 9:00am, and drove to Lake Charles, La to visit Mark and Sue Didelot. While there, we did some planning for our January trip to Quartzsite, AZ. While there, we also had a very nice lunch. This time, I also got some photos of their home:

In the back, he has a nice garage area with a special 'tall' garage that houses his RV. He also has a 50 amp plug just outside the RV door, where his RV guest can back up in the driveway, and hookup for the night.

Sue is an artist, and some of her artwork is around the house, including on the back patio, and on the front of the house:

In the above picture, she designed the 'scrulpture' that is in place of a window on the front of their house.

Richard and Patsy -

Just had an opportunity to look at your posts and pictures as your Bus made its journey -- great job!! It looks really great - congratulations. We're now here in Yuma for the winter - our trip here from TX was uneventful, and the Phaeton ran great. According to the LBCU we got over 9 MPG from El Paso to here - and my overall figures confirm that. Even at $3 plus per gallon, we're pleased. Looking forward to seeing you guys at Quartzsite - let us know your plans. BTW how did the stacked shades work out?
Take care!!
