Puerto Penasco -- Thursday

This morning, we went with two other couples to the Old Port section of the city. It is mostly for tourist, with restaurants, seafood markets, and gift shops. Here are some photos of our campground across the water and then a zoomed shot from the same location.
Here are some photos of the general area of the Old Port.
Note how the thatch is being held down on the last two pictures!!!!

We spent a couple of hours walking and shopping, then we had lunch at a "fish and chips" place.

We returned to the campground and spent the afternoon resting and visiting with the rest of the group.

For dinner, we had reservations at a restaurant in the Old Port area called "The Friendly Dolphin". I think it was mainly selected because we all got free margaritas with a coupon! We had a good meal and a great time as a group. Here are some photos inside the restaurant, and of the folks in the group:
We were serenaded......

...... and then the "because-we-can.net" found out that the rest of us were getting bottled water, and they were getting "tap" water!
And some folks just sat back and enjoyed their drinks.......

Patsy and I sat back and enjoyed the evening....

Tomorrow, six of the group are going deep sea fishing, and the plan is to have a big fish fry tomorrow night at the campground. The rest of us will continue to explore the area around the town.
