Puerto Penasco -- Sunday

Today was a special day in Puerto Penasco. Richard and Carole Johnson celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary. And what a celebration........ Richard planned for weeks to pull it off. We met for a buffet breakfast at the resort restaurant. We all had a great breakfast, and the couple was presented with a card and a couple of gifts. In the picture below, Carole shows off one of the gifts while another, a bowl carved from lemon tree wood, sits on the table.
Here's the rest of the party..........

Here's a better picture showing Carole a little more happy...........

Here's a photo of Carole after a day of celebration with her freinds:

There was also a nice view of the ocean and beach out the back side of the restaurant
As we left the restaurant, there were many vendors along the boardwalk (concrete-walk to be exact!), and they separated some of us from our money. Here's one of our couples trying to barter for 'parachute kites' for grandkids..... and they were successful, in case the grandkids are reading this.

Patsy found another vendor and purchased other gifts for herself and our two daughters (well, one is by law, as in daughter-in-law, but Patsy really likes her!!!!!!!!!!!! ), but I can't show them or they won't be a surprise.

We also passed by the 'total motorhome' paint job, and an artist was painting a mural on the back side:

The afternoon was slow as we waited for the super bowl to start. We had a couple of rigs with good satellite systems and we had very good reception for what turned out to be a very good football game. While we did that Patsy took a some sunset photos, and they turned out pretty good. Here's a sample (the second one is a sunset shot of the old port):
