Puerto Penasco -- Friday

It seems like every day that we are in Mexico, we slow down and do less! Today while six hearty hunter -types (5 men and one woman) went deep sea fishing, the rest of us went shopping at Shacks Fifth Avenue again. Here are photos of Patsy and her marauding gang.....

When we got back to the motorhome, I decided to document some of the features of our campground. In order, here is the office/recreation room/shower houses/shopping area, the spa, the two rows of campsites that our group occupies, and our campsite: It also turns out that due to the cheap labor, there are some enterprises operating within the park. You can get your motorhome's dents repaired and re-painting work done. In fact, you can get a whole paint job right on your rented site!!! People that have seen the finished product tell me it 'looks good' when they finish!

Here, you can see the proud owner watching the work, and see the 'workshop' parked next to the MH (with trunk open):

This one is parked across from us. A lady has been using a heat gun to remove the decal stripes for the past two days:
This one has the painting well in progress. Not sure how they keep the sand out of the paint, and the overspray off of neighboring RV's!

In addition to body and paint work, you can also get a 'wash and wax' for $1.50 per foot of RV. Interestingly, if you only want it washed, it is$1.00 per foot! In the beginning, I was the most distrustful of the group and figured that they just put the wax in the wash bucket like the spray car washes. However, they use turtle wax and they do a really good job. I watched two rigs get the waxing done. Now being the most distrustful of the group, I am now the first to get mine scheduled to be washed and waxed......... at 9:00am tomorrow morning. Details to be reported!!!

The fishing trip was highly successful, and the group returned with a lot of fish. Tonight, we had fried fresh fish with a lot of trimmings. Most of the group commented that it was probably the best meal in the last 2--3 weeks. After dinner, our local comedian, Mike, entertained us with his humor, which was actually pretty good.

Sure hope your wax job turns out ok. Just make sure you find somewhere to have it waxed before you come home. So WE don't have to wax it.
