Oklahoma to Little Rock

On Thursday morning, we left the Talimena State Park campground and headed 3 miles up the road to the Talimena Scenic Byway.  We were the only campers in the campground, so it was quiet!!  Here are a couple of pictures………….

Before getting on the byway, we stopped at the visitor center and picked up some maps and information. The route was 40 miles long, and it took us about two hours to complete it.  During the first 35 miles, we did not see another vehicle on the road………… in either direction!  If fact, the one car we saw in a pull-out was the only vehicle on the entire route.  Here are some pictures……….

It was a pleasant drive with plenty of hills and curves to make it fun, and nice scenery to boot!!

We drove on through Hot Springs and into Little Rock.  Deanne, Mike and Rachel brought some pizza over to the Bus, and we ate.  It was nice seeing Rachel again….. yeah, and also her parents!!  Some more pictures……

She liked the stuffed dog that Patsy has on the dash, and then we put some cartoons on the TV in the bedroom.  She crawled right up on the bed and made herself at home!

On this trip, we hauled some toys from Aubrey, our 7 year old granddaughter in Texas to Rachel.   The main thing was a little kitchen.  We delivered it to the house on Friday morning, and she took off playing with it.  Some more pictures……….

It is now Saturday morning, and we are baby sitting while Deanne and Mike are at their new house doing some painting.  On Sunday morning, we will be leaving Little Rock and heading back toward Hot Springs for the TRVN rally.  We will be there for a week.

Later……..
