After the last blog, and when we got to the TRVN Rally in Sevierville, Tin Sevierville, TN., I lost the hard drive in my laptop computer. A very good friend, Jim Andrews, who works on computers in hospitals, was at the rally, and his wife “volunteered” him to fix it. We ordered a solid state hard drive from Amazon, and it took a few days to get to Sevierville, TN.
By the time he got it fixed, I was so far behind on blogging and keeping up with other things on the PC, that I just quit blogging for a while. Then, as bloggers know………. it was hard to figure out how to ‘close the gap’, and get started again!! This will be that effort!
I plan to give a quick look at activities that have taken place since the TRVN rally. Since we were near the Smoky Mountains, we drove through the National Park…..
The park which was the venue for the TRVN rally was really nice. Here are pictures of the entrance, and our site……
We left the rally on Sunday, and drove to Red Bay to get the floor in our Wet Bay on the Bus changed out……… for the 2nd time! No Pictures. However, we did drive the car over to the “Unclaimed Baggage Store” in Scottsboro, GA, where we purchased a laptop for Patsy.
We left Red Bay to head toward Victoria, but took the route through Little Rock to see our granddaughter, Rachel, again. Since it was close to Easter, there was an Easter Egg hunt at the Clinton Library, so we got Rachel dressed up, and took her there………
While there, Rachel got to sit in a fire truck…….
and play in ‘bounce houses’ as well as hunt Easter eggs……..
We left Little Rock, and arrived in Victoria on April 14. We were scheduled to leave again on another RV trip on May 14!! The 30 days that we had at home were busy. We had five doctor’s appointments between the two of us, and we had some major jobs planned to do around the house. We had to clean up the yard around the house (mow, edge, fertilize, trim shrubs, and clean out flower beds.
We also had 7 very large oak trees ready for a major trim and some sheetrock repairs to the interior walls of the house and repaint to complete. More on those jobs in the next blog.
On May 14, we left for a couple of weeks RV travel to attend two local Tiffin Allegro Chapter rallies on consecutive weekends. On May 14—18, we attended a Bluebonnet Allegro Club rally in Marble Falls, TX at the Sunset Point campground. We had a really good rally, but did not take many pictures……….. just relaxed!!
Following that rally, we head for La Grange, TX to the Colorado Landings campground for a rally of the Lone Star Allegro Club that ran from May 23—26, In between the two rallies, we spent some time in the New Braunfels, TX area. When we got home, we continued working on the house until we left for the South Carolina Retirement ceremony on June 5.
