Here's a picture of our rig in the campground. It has full hookup (30 & 50 amp), strong WIFI signal (Free), and very clear cable TV with 65 channels. The price was only $29 a day, which is reasonable for this area. It is only 2 miles from the main parkway, and about 6 miles from Dollywood.
We spent this morning and early afternoon exploring Pigeon Forge and it's tourist shops. We found a quilt shop that had a nice king size that we thought would look good in the Bus, but did not buy it since we weren't positive. After doing a few more stores, like the Old Mill facility shown below, we went to a local Camping World store and bought the plugs and bracket to convert the CRV to a "7 blade RV" system.
While we were at the Old Mill store, we found some squirrel feeders like our 'dinner club buddy', Woody has. I took pictures so that I can make one for Patsy after we get home.
On the way back from Camping World, we saw a building at an attraction that was built "upside down"! Here it is:
When we bought our Dollywood tickets, we found out that they had a deal that allowed you to come into the park after 3:00pm on the day "before" for free. We opted to do that today, and take in a couple of the gospel singing shows. Here are some of the performers:
Tomorrow, we plan to 'do' Dollywood all day. It is open from 9:00am to 7:00pm. We are going to park the motorhome on the parking lot to use it for breaks, and then shower and eat supper, while the parking lot empties. Then we will hit the highway for Nashville, 200 miles west of here.
