Day 7 Disney World–Magic Kingdom & Epcot

Friday was Patsy and my last day to visit Disney parks.  Rachel and her parents had plans to go in on Saturday before they left for Little Rock.  We chose to leave early Saturday morning, and get to our next destination.

Since Rachel spent Thursday night in the Bus, we started Friday by taking her to meet her parents at the Magic Kingdom.  We even caught a ride into the Magic Kingdom………

After getting together, we rode some rides that Rachel really liked, “It’s a Small World” was one of them, and then Patsy and I left them and went to a local Wal-Mart to stock up for the next leg of our trip.

At 1:30pm, we all had reservations at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway section of Epcot.  Patsy and I returned and met Rachel and her parents there for a late lunch and a chance for Rachel to meet up with several of the “Princess” characters that hang out there……..

At the beginning of our visit to Disney, Rachel was a little reluctant to pose with the characters…….. like she has been with Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, etc.  However, in the last few days, she really warmed up to them and almost became a ham!!

We had a very good meal, and a great time watching Rachel having fun.  Here are some more pictures with Rachel posing in her Princess gown……..

We spent the rest of the day in Epcot because we had premium access to an area to watch the laser & fireworks show at night.  We chose to walk around the rest of the world.  At one point in Africa, Rachel and I played the drums together……..

Rachel really had a great week.  We thought in the beginning, that being just 4 years old, she might have been too young.  She wasn’t, and the most surprising thing was her stamina and willingness to stay up with us on foot.  She never whined and wanted to be picked up and carried.  Her feet were on the ground for every mile that we walked, and her little short legs moved quickly to keep up with us.  I was proud, if you can’t tell!!n

I asked Deanne to send me some pictures from their last day, and I got the following for the blog.  Rachel and her dad sat on a bench with a frog in the first one…….

In closing our Disney visit, I am including a variety of ‘garden’ shots………….
