We left Canon, TX and arrived at the North Little Rock Riverside RV park about 5:00PM. Our daughter and son-in-law arrived a little after 6:00pm, and Rachel decided she wanted to spend the night in the Bus.
We had seen Rachel only about 5 weeks ago, but she still looked like she had grown a lot….. must have been a growth spurt!!
The campground did not have any Passport America (discounted) sites, so we opted for a riverfront site. Here are some pictures…..
We had Rachel from Friday night until Sunday morning. We met her parents at a new Greek restaurant, Layla’s Gyro & Pizzeria for dinner on Saturday night. We hadn’t had gyros since we lived in Pittsburgh in the early ‘80’s!
We did some shopping around Little Rock for our trip, and took her to her favorite store, Dollar Tree, for a shopping spree. We had a fun time with her, and she really behaves very well.
Here are some pictures:
Playing with a flashlight…….
Posing in “hand-me down” clothes from cousin Aubrey including the famous “Grannie’s Girl” shirt!!
Looking at and laughing at iPhone pictures with Grannie……
Posing for some “soon-to-be-framed” pictures for Poppaw…
Having lunch at “The Purple Cow” restaurant……
Posing on the couch……….
And having Grannie put her hair in a pony tail before Mom picks her up…
We had a great time with Rachel, and after we left on Sunday morning, we passed through Memphis, TN and visited with Patsy’s cousin, Betty and husband, Vernon. Betty had a nice afternoon lunch prepared for us, and we had a nice visit……… except that I forgot to take pictures.
After leaving Memphis, we made the 160 mile trek to Red Bay and got set up in the Self-Service Campground for a couple of days.
