We had to put my mother into a nursing facility here in our hometown, and in the last several months, she really has not had a lot of really good days! That has kept our travel days at a minimum.
We did take a long-planned trip to Disneyworld at the beginning of the summer with our Son, Daughter-in-Law, and two grandkids. I never really finished that travel blog.
Once we left Orlando, Rick and Laura drove back to Texas to go to work, and the grandkids chose to travel home with us in the Bus. We took our time, and drove up to the Daytona Beach and St. Augustine areas, but the persistent rains kept us from being able to stop and enjoy them. We continued north to the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. We took a boat ride into the swamp to see the alligators up close and personal with the gators as well as the swamp. Matthew likes to watch the Gator show on the Discovery Channel, and he enjoyed seeing alligators from the boat. Here are some pictures……….
As can be seen, Aubrey enjoyed shopping as much as the boat ride. At least she found an appropriate shirt!!!
Our next stop was Red Bay, AL, where we had a new windshield put in the Bus. It took a large rock in Texas. We found a water park and a nice playground for them in Red Bay.
Here are some pictures of the windshield change-out with the first showing the platform for windshield work………

New windshield in…….. and a good job!!
Next, it was on to Little Rock, AR, with a stop at the Memphis Zoo. We had a good one-day visit at the zoo.
Cooling off in the misters…………
Feeding lettuce to the giraffes on an elevated platform……….
Feeding parakeets………
More giraffe feeding…………..
From the zoo, we went to Little Rock and visited our Daughter, Son-in-Law and new Granddaughter, Rachel.
Here is a picture of all three of our grandkids with “Grammie'” wearing shirts from Disneyworld……..

It took us about 10 days to get back to Victoria, and we had a great time!
