We left Waco this morning and drove to Fort Worth. Enroute, we had planned to stop at exit 374 on I-35 at the former 'Carl's Corner Truck Stop' which is being remodeled by Willie Nelson to market his Bio-Diesel in a new truck stop. It is to be called "Willie's Place", and will have a concert hall, restarant, saloon, and store. A report on the internet stated that it should have opened last January and later, this past June. Well, it looks like Willie is a better singer than construction manager. The shell of the building is up, but the fuel pump areas are just pipes sticking out of the ground. His 'refinery' is located behind the building.

Our plan was to spend the night at Cedar Hill State Park on Joe Pool Reservoir just south of Fort Worth or at the Treetops RV Resort in Arlington which is a Passport America park. We drove through the state park, and decided to stay two nights at Treetops. It was a good decision, and it is a nice park. We will go to the RV show tomorrow, and stay here tomorrow night.
This afternoon, we drove downtown to check out the convention center (RV show location), and parking for tomorrow. Tonight, we ate at an Outback Steakhouse Restaurant.
