After leaving Las Vegas, our destination was the Lazy Days RV Resort in Tucson, AZ. While at the Quartzsite Tent Show, we picked up a coupon for two free nights of camping and a lunch at the on-site restaurant.
The resort is a nice campground, having previously been built and operated by the Beaudry RV company that went bankrupt a couple of years ago. Lazy Days has a big dealership and repair facility on the site, and a “Camping World” store is next door.
Here are pictures of our setup………
There were a lot of lemon and orange trees in the park with fruit on them. You will notice that there is not much fruit on the lower branches…… Patsy made sure that there was less before we left!!! Here are a few pictures starting with the one on our site…….
They also were apparently having an Airstream rally coming up, because there were a lot of the RV’s in the park. Some were old restored units along with several really small trailers……
……. with a small one in the tree:
Other sites included a guy who wanted to take it all with him……….
and a guy who already appeared to have it all------- a Prevost towing a Corvette……………
In closing, a shot of one of the roads. There are over 400 sites in this resort……
Now we are at home, making repairs and modifications to the Bus, and doing maintenance on the house and looking over 5 weeks of mail.
We are also planning two more trips. We belong to a several RV groups and two of them are having rallies on consecutive weekends. We are thinking about attending both and staying in the Conroe, TX area for the week in between.
We are also planning to attend a TRVN (Tiffin RV Owners Network) rally in Brunswick, GA over the Easter Week, and we are putting together a 5 week trip that will include a visit to Little Rock to see Grandchild #3 for her 2nd birthday in March, and some time along the Florida beaches and New Orleans on the way back to Texas.
So……. we are going to get back on the road soon!!
